POUGHKEEPSIE – The Dutchess County Department of Public Works will begin work to replace the bridge on Amenia-Pine Plains Road in the Town of Pine Plains in early September.
The bridge, near the intersection of Righters Corners Road, will be replaced due to structural deficiencies that have led to weight and width restrictions.
The bridge will be replaced with a pre-cast structure with the addition of four-foot shoulders.
Amenia-Pine Plains Road will be closed on or about September 4 with a detour route posted. It is expected to reopen in December. The entire project is expected t be completed in early 2019.
