WAPPINGERS FALLS – Former Wappingers Falls village Mayor Raymond
“Dutch” Belding died on Wednesday, August 15 at age 81.
Belding, a Wappingers Falls native, served the public in many roles –
village trustee, judge, police officer and mayor.
Belding was also a member of the American Legion, S.W. Johnson Engine
Co. #2, was active in the Little League and was elected to the Softball
Hall of Fame.
He worked as a manager-engineer at IBM East Fishkill.
Friends may call at the Delehanty Funeral Home in Wappingers Falls on
Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian
Burial will be offered on Monday at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church
in Wappingers Falls.
Burial will be in Wappingers Rural Cemetery.
