Woman arrested in Newburgh hit-and-run

NEWBURGH – A Town of Newburgh woman is charged with the felony of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident where a man was struck on Broadway in the City of Newburgh.
Kylie Johnson, 21, was arrested Friday with assistance from Town of Newburgh Police after witnesses provided a description of the vehicle and license plate.
Just after 12 a.m., a man who had been struck while near 247 Broadway in the City of Newburgh flagged down an officer. The vehicle had fled the scene.
The victim, who was believed to be intoxicated, sustained serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital. He was later transported to Westchester Medical Center.
The investigation is continuing.  Anyone with information is asked to call Newburgh city detectives at 845-569-7509.
