KINGSTON – Some local Hudson River swimming areas off Ulster County have been closed for swimming following the discovery of elevated levels of bacteria found in water samples collected by the county Health Department.
Included in those closures is Kingston Point Beach.
Additional testing and review will be conducted before a determination on when to reopen the beaches. It is anticipated a new round will be completed early next week.
The playground, pavilion, and boat launch at Kingston Point Beach remain accessible to the public.
