GARDINER – Former Ulster County Legislator Glenn Noonan died suddenly
at his Gardiner home on Friday, July 6.

Noonan, who was 61, was a county legislator for 14 years, holding the
position of minority leader. He also chaired many committees during his
tenure.

Until his retirement, he was a local real estate broker.

His sister, Colleen Noonan Blake, said she will miss “his quick
wit and warm smile.”

Noonan volunteered at and supported the Brookside School; one of the highlights
for him was playing Santa Claus for the school children. He was also a
recipient of the Brookside Golden Heart Award.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann, and four daughters and their spouses,
three grandchildren, a sister, brother and sister.

Calling hours will be on Thursday, July 12 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7
p.m. to 9 p.m. at Copeland Funeral Home in New Paltz. Funeral services
will be held on Friday, July 13 at 1 p.m. at Christ The King Church in
New Paltz.
