TOWN OF GREENBURGH – Two men are under arrest following a traffic
stop on the Thruway after 9 p.m. on Saturday.
During the interview with the driver, troopers established probable cause
to search the car and its occupants. The driver, Craig Nugent, Jr., 42,
of Ludlow, Vermont and his passenger, Zaquikon Roy, 20, of Brooklyn were
found in possession of a loaded handgun., some 1.45 grams of suboxone,
one gram of marijuana, and over eight grams of buprenorphine/Naloxone.
Both men were charged with felony possession of a weapon. Nugent was charged
with unlawful possession of marijuana and several vehicle and traffic
violations and Roy was charged with misdemeanor drug possession and two
violations of possessing a controlled substance in a non-original container.
Both men were remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail pending
a future court appearance.
