POUGHKEEPSIE – Dutchess County Sheriff Kirk Imperati has promoted Corrections Division Sergeant Will Moore to the position of Corrections Superintendent.  Moore will serve concurrently with the current Superintendent, Therese Lee.  Moore’s promotion went into effect on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Moore started his county career as a part-time Dutchess County Deputy Sheriff on October 3, 2000, and was assigned to the law enforcement division as a road patrol deputy.

The late Sheriff Butch Anderson appointed Moore to a full-time position as a corrections officer in what was then the Dutchess County Jail, which has been replaced with the completion of the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center.  He made the rank of sergeant on April 30, 2016.
