KINGSTON – An inmate at the Ulster County Jail and a female visitor have been arrested on charges of felony promoting prison contraband.
On Wednesday, June 20, corrections personnel saw Kara Whittaker, 24, of Kingston, who was visiting inmate Jonathan Mead, 27, hand him what was later determined to be suboxone.
Whittaker was arraigned and released on her own recognizance. Mead was returned to county jail pending a future appearance in Kingston City Court.
