Two silos are all that remain standing as a fire leveled the dariy
barn

SWAN LAKE – A four-alarm blaze leveled a large barn on the Michel
Dairy Farm in the Kauneonga Lake Fire District early Sunday evening.

Two silos were the only structures left standing as the barn was burned
down to the ground.

The fire of undetermined origin apparently started as the cattle were
being milked. There were said to be some 100 animals inside the barn.

Several fire departments were called to the scene of the structure fire
with over 100 cattle said to be inside. Many animals were killed and others
were injured with a number of veterinarians on the scene examining those
hurt animals.
