GOSHEN – The New Jersey
man, who was driving a car that rolled over on Glenwood Road in Pine Island
and crashed into a house killing two passengers, has been charged in a
24-count indictment.

Killed in the crash of the car driven by Christopher Perrella, 32, of
Vernon, New Jersey, were Emily Carwile, 36, of Vernon and Jessica Dussault,
30, of Hopatcong, New Jersey.

Perrella and another passenger, Joseph Giordano, 32, were injured.

Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler said Perrella was charged
with four counts each of aggravated vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter,
two counts of manslaughter and eight counts of vehicular manslaughter,
and four counts of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence
of alcohol or drugs.

Orange County Court Judge Robert Freehill set back at $50,000 cash or
$100,000 bond.

“Fatalities caused by those who drive while impaired by alcohol
or other substances are as tragic as they are preventable,” said
Hoovler.
