Woman charged with stabbing cook to death at Irvington restaurant

WHITE PLAINS – A New York City woman has been arraigned in Westchester
County Court by Judge Barry Warhit on murder and other charges in the
stabbing death of a co-worker in an Irvington restaurant on April 10.

Rosa Ramirez of New York City was charged in the stabbing death of Bonicacio
Rodriguez, 38, of Yonkers, with a kitchen knife.

Rodriguez tried to protect himself but was stabbed several times.
Anther employee in the kitchen at the River Grille on Broadway attempted
to intervene but was also threatened but not injured.

Ramirez was a dishwasher in the kitchen working with other staff when
around 11 a.m. on April 10, she allegedly attacked Ramirez.
She had only worked at the restaurant for a few days before the incident.

Ramirez was indicted on charges of murder, two counts of criminal possession
of a weapon and menacing.

She was remanded to the Westchester County Jail pending a future court
appearance.
