The wrecked Maserati
SHANDAKEN – An analysis of forensic evidence and autopsy reports have
determined that Michael Colangelo, 31, of Huntington Station, was driving
the rented Maserati that crashed last Sunday, killing him and his buddy,
John Martinez, 39, of Hauppauge.
Colangelo had married his fiancé just hours before.
Both men were NYPD cops who died when the car left the road in the Town of Shandaken and rolled over. Neither man wore a seatbelt. A rear-seat passenger was belted and sustained injuries.
