A tenant for the now town-owned Mid-Orange Correctional Facility
TOWN OF WARWICK – Sativa Medical has closed on a parcel at the Warwick Valley Office and Technology Corporate Park and will soon start construction of a licensed medical marijuana growing facility.
Town Supervisor Michael Sweeton said the project is an exciting one for Warwick.
“They are going to build a 20,000-square foot building and another 20,000-SF production facility. It will be good jobs, clean jobs, and it will raise the profile of the site,” Sweeton said.
The facility will be constructed on the former Mid-Orange Correctional Facility property, which the town acquired after the state shut down the prison several years ago.
