Ulster County home sales decline in first quarter

KINGSTON – Sales of single-family homes declined by 4.1 percent in the first four months of the year when compared to the same period in 2017, the Ulster County Board of Realtors reported.
A total of 464 homes were sold during that timeframe in 2017, compared with 445 this year.
Home sales in April, the last month to be reported, were 4.3 percent
fewer – 110 this year and 115 last year.
The average selling price in the first four months of 2018 was up 12.4
percent above last year at $273,274 compared with $243,191 last year.
