Downstate Correctional inmate charged with assault

FISHKILL – An inmate at
Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill has been charged with felony
assault for allegedly attacking another inmate.

State Police said Akil Baptiste, 20, of Brooklyn, an inmate at the prison,
attacked another inmate.

Baptiste was arraigned and remains in the custody of the state Department
of Corrections and Community Supervision.
