Hurley man arrested with over 800 bags of heroin

KINGSTON – The URGENT Task Force arrested a Hurley man following an investigation into heroin sales in the Town of Hurley and surrounding areas.
Members of the Ulster Regional Gang Enforcement Narcotics Team and the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit conducted an intelligence based traffic stop on a vehicle owned and operated by Louis Little, 58, on Route 28 in the Town of Ulster. It was discovered following the May 3 traffic stop that he possessed 580 bags of heroin.
A search warrant was obtained for his Hurley residence where another 240 bags of heroin were discovered. In total, 820 bags of heroin were seized from Little who was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Little was sent to the Ulster County Jail without bail.
