Police ID man killed by Metro-North train in Beacon

BEACON – The man who was
struck and killed by Metro-North Railroad train just south of the Beacon
train station late last week has been identified as a Yonkers resident.

An MTA spokesman said the victim was 38-year-old Joseph Lanza.

He apparently trespassed on MTA property and was struck by the train that
was en route from Grand Central Terminal in New York City to Poughkeepsie.
