GOSHEN – The Orange County Legislature urged the state legislature and governor to pass legislation to declare as invalid any project in which direct criminal conduct by public officials occurred and for which permits were issued.
Friday’s memorializing resolution calls for such a measure to be retroactive and apply to the CPV power plant in Wawayanda.
Joseph Percoco, a former aide to Governor Cuomo, was convicted in federal
court of corruption in connection with the project.
The county legislature voted 20-0-1 for the resolution with Legislator James Kulisek abstaining.
