BLOOMING GROVE – A young child and their father were badly hurt
in a minivan rollover accident Saturday afternoon on Clove Road in the
Town of Blooming Grove.
The Honda minivan rolled over on its side landing behind a utility pole.
A witness said he was driving behind the minivan, headed northbound toward
Washingtonville, when he noticed the driver swerving all over the roadway.
Suddenly the minivan went off the road, flipping into a ditch at the driveway
to house number 474 Clove Road.
The father was unconscious behind the wheel. The child was screaming and
crying.
Police on scene say the father was flown by helicopter to Westchester
Medical Center in very serious condition.
They suspect he may have had some kind of medical condition.
The child was taken by ambulance to Orange Regional Medical Center.
State Police are assisting Blooming Grove Police in the investigation.
