Grand Rabbi of Monsey village dies at 94

KASER – The Visnitz Hasidic Village of Kaser has lost its grand
rabbi.

Rabbi Mordechai Hagar died on Friday morning after a long illness.

Tens of thousands of mourners poured into Rockland County to attend the
mid-day Friday funeral for the spiritual leader.

The Village of Kaser, Monsey, has a population of over 4,700 people; most
residents are from Romanian ancestry.

All roads that were closed for the funeral processes have been reopened.
