Second executive resigns from US Global Airways

STEWART AIRPORT – Baltia Air Lines, doing business as US Global Airways, has lost its second executive in one month.
The airline, which is seeking government approvals to provide passenger service at Stewart International Airport, reported in a recent Securities and Exchange Commission filing that Walter Kaplinsky has resigned as corporate secretary and as a director of Baltia Air Lines.
“To the company’s knowledge, the resignation of Mr. Kaplinsky as corporate secretary and as a director was not the result of any disagreement by him with the company on any matter related to the company’s operations, policies or practices that led to his decision to resign from such position,” the SEC statement read.
One week earlier, another SEC filing said Mario Conte stepped down as interim chief financial officer with Michael Jordan named as the new CFO.
Conte’s resignation “was not the result of any disagreement by him with the company’s operations, policies or practices,” the SEC filing said.
Baltia spokesman John Lampl said the airline had no comment beyond what was reported in the SEC filings.
The airline had hoped to gain approvals to start flights from Stewart this winter, first to the Caribbean and later, to European destinations.
