EAST FISHKILL – Former Assemblyman Patrick Manning wants to give back to his community and with an opening on his local East Fishkill Town Board, he has expressed interest in filling a vacant seat.
Manning, a Conservative, said he wants to return to public service.
“I want to help my town,” he said. “It has a new administration now and the Town of East Fishkill has worked very hard to keep taxes low and economic development high on the list and I think I have a few years left in me and I have offered to provide my services wherever I can and there is an opening for town board seat.”
It will be up to the town board to fill the seat left vacant when Councilman
Nicholas D’Allessandro was elected town supervisor last fall.
Whoever is appointed to fill the vacancy would have to run for a full term in November.
