Car chase leads to crash

MIDDLETOWN – A police pursuit of a car in Middletown Thursday afternoon resulted in a crash right outside a playground, Watts Memorial Park, on Wisner Avenue in the City of Middletown.
Middletown City and State Police were chasing the gray Nissan Altima for unknown reasons when it ended in a violent crash between a Middletown squad car and the pursued vehicle. It was unknown if anyone was injured.
Police closed off Wisner Avenue for more than two hours while they investigated the incident.
