NEW YORK – A Liberty man was arrested on Thursday for a murder that occurred in New York City 28 years ago.
Pedro Jiminez, 46, was taken into custody on a murder charge at 40 Lake Street in Liberty.
New York City Police said he was charged in the shooting death of Mario Delacruz, 19, on July 11, 1990. He was shot several times in front of 2320 Amsterdam Avenue and pronounced dead at the scene.
Jiminez was apprehended in Sullivan County around 10:30 Thursday night.
