Kinderhook teen charged with forcible sex with 15-year-old

KINDERHOOK – State Police arrested a Kinderhook youth on a charge of criminal sex act as a violent felony.
On February 6 troopers received a complaint of a sexual offense in the Town of Kinderhook.
Investigators determined that Benjamin Champagne, 17, allegedly had forcibly committed a sex act on a 15-year-old victim.  He was sent to the Columbia County Jail in lieu of $2,000 cash bail or $4,000 bond.
