New Putnam Sheriff’s official resigns

CARMEL – One month after Edward Swarm, Jr. was appointed captain of patrol under the administration of new Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr., he has resigned.
The sheriff said on Thursday that Swarm stepped down citing personal reasons.
Langley appointed Swarm as captain of the road patrol in mid-December. He had served for 24 years with the New York City Police Department rising to lieutenant of detectives.
