POUGHKEEPSIE – City Police in Poughkeepsie are investigating a
shooting at North Clinton and Mansion streets early this (Saturday) morning
that turned fatal.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Officers found a man suffering from
what appeared to be gunshot wounds. He was treated at the scene and transported
to a local hospital where he later died.
An autopsy will be conducted by the Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s
Office to determine the cause of death.
Poughkeepsie Police were assisted at the scene by Town of Poughkeepsie
Police, State Police and the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office.
