PUTNAM VALLEY – A school bus monitor who lives in Cortlandt Manor was arrested for allegedly striking an 11-year-old student in the face and then threatening to knock him out.
Joseph Masi, 65, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment.
Putnam County Sheriff Robert Langley, Jr. said on January 11, school officials became aware of the incident that allegedly occurred on a school bus that day between Masi and the student.  A school resource officer investigated and after interviewing several witnesses and reviewing video and audio footage supplied by the bus company, Masi was arrested.  He was released on his own recognizance pending future court action.
