YONKERS – A 22-year-old
Yonkers man is under arrest, charged with manslaughter in connection with
the death of a 16-year-old girl Wednesday morning.
Yonkers City Police allege that Joel Thompson, 22, was involved in a dispute
in front of 354 Nepperhan Avenue when he intentionally drove his 2006
Toyota Corolla on the sidewalk, striking and killing Madysen Denman, also
of Yonkers.
Thompson fled the scene, but was caught within minutes on Saw Mill River
Road.
The Westchester County District Attorney’s Office is handing prosecution
of the case.
