Mosher: “… more in the pipeline”

KINGSTON – New York has set a clean energy agenda that is the most ambitious in the country, the president of Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation told members of the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday.
In the effort to grow clean energy initiatives, Michael Mosher said Central Hudson is getting more and more involved in solar power.
“With the addition of distributed energy resource such as rooftop and community solar, we are installing intelligent field devices that allow for two-way power flows, something unthought of a few years ago,” Mosher said. “We have new monitoring, control and automation capabilities. In fact, Central Hudson has interconnected more solar – almost 8,000 systems – than any other utility in New York State.”
Mosher said the utility has one of the first community solar, or community distributed generation projects in Kingston “with many more in the pipeline.”
