MONROE – State Police have arrested a Highland Mills man in connection
with three robberies in the area, one dating back a full year.
John Elliott, 30, was charged with the armed robbery of Charming Charlie
in Monroe on December 23, 2016. He was also charged with the Valentine’s
Day robbery of Edible Arrangements in Monroe on February 14, 3017 as well
as the robbery of Sally Beauty Supply in Monroe on December 12, 2017.
As a result, Elliott was charged with three counts of robbery, two of
them armed robbery, and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of
$350,000 cash bail or $1 million bond.
