Shots fired in Wallkill residential neighborhood

TOWN OF WALLKILL – Police are investigating shots being fired outside
on Red Barn Lane in the Town of Wallkill. Residents reported hearing shots
at around 10:20 p.m. Sunday  One resident told police he saw the
suspected shooter fleeing the area.
As many as eight Wallkill Town and State Police patrol units responded to the scene. A portion of the street was blocked off as police gathered evidence.
Wallkill Police Chief Robert Hertman said there were no injuries in the
incident.
Investigators were canvassing the neighborhood this morning
One neighbor reported a round shot or went through a resident’s front
window.
