MONROE – For the second time in less than a week, thieves targeted a store in Monroe.
Police were called to the Sally Beauty Supply store in the newly built Harriman Commons Shopping Plaza on Bailey Farm Road in the Town of Monroe around 9 p.m. Tuesday just as the store was about to close. No other stores appeared to be affected.
It was not immediately known if the suspect got away with any cash or merchandise. The robber was described as a white man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.
State Police and Orange County Sheriff’s deputies investigated.
Late last week Monroe Jewelers in the Village of Monroe was hit by an overnight burglary.
