Two Ulster County welfare fraud arrests made

KINGSTON – Two women were arrested in separate cases by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office on charges of welfare fraud in what County Executive Michael Hein called the county’s Zero Tolerance Anti-Fraud, Waste and Abuse Program.
Jeannine McCullough of East Kingston was arrested on November 21 and charged with welfare fraud, grand larceny and two counts of offering a false instrument for filing.  Investigation by the Ulster County Department of Social Services Special Investigation Unit and the Ulster District Attorney’s Office found that she failed to report income from November 2015 through August 2017 and received $2,863 in SNAP benefits and $28,013 in Medicaid benefits to which she was not entitled.
GinaMarie Ludica of Highland was also arrested on November 21 and charged with welfare fraud and four counts of offering a false instrument for filing. She allegedly failed to report income from August 2015 through September 2016 resulting in her receiving $2,780 in SNAP benefits to which she was not entitled.
Both women were processed and released to appear in Ulster County Court.
