Suspicious person investigated in Wallkill

TOWN OF WALLKILL – A Wallkill police officer responded to a call for a suspicious vehicle on Tuesday, November 21, at about 3:00 pm. The officer was met by a 12-year-old girl who reported that at approximately 2:20 pm, after exiting the school bus she was walking near 146 Fairfax Avenue, when she observed a van circling around the block several times. According to the victim, the driver of the van stopped and asked her if she had “seen his kitten.” The girl said she hadn’t and the van drove off.
The suspect is described as: a male white, gray beard, gray short hair that was slicked back, with eyeglasses and wearing a multi-colored floral shirt.  He was driving a white utility van, with a significant scratch under the rear window.
