Gipson: “Very positive”

RHINEBECK – Former State Senator Terry Gipson, who last year was
considering a run for governor on the Democratic line, has now taken that
one step further.

He has now created a campaign committee, Gipson for New York, so he “can
have the funds to travel the state, develop relationships, listen to New
Yorkers and continue to explore a run for governor.”

Gipson, a Rhinebeck resident, said the reception he has received across
the state about a potential run “has been very positive.”
He said people from Brooklyn to Buffalo “want our state government
returned to its rightful owners, the people of New York, and I am dedicated
to investigating how I can best serve that process.”

Current Governor Andrew Cuomo, also a Democrat, is up for re-election
next year and it is no surprise that he is eying a presidential run in
three years.
