Ten arrested in Newburgh drug bust

NEWBURGH – Newburgh City
Police, the Hudson Valley Safe Streets Task Force and State Police Thursday
arrested 10 people in a narcotics operation on Johnston Street. The investigation
followed several complaints of narcotics sales from area residents.
During the operation, police recovered seven grams of crack cocaine, 81 individually wrapped baggies of heroin, one large marijuana plant and $1,900 in cash.
Charged with felony criminal possession and sale of drugs are Kiaje Paulk, 23 and Preshea Fennell, 34, both of the City of Newburgh. Tyrik Legette, 24, was charged with one count each of felony and misdemeanor drug possession.
Charged with misdemeanor drug possession are Daniel Coughlan, 52, Brian Backus, 46, Bernadette Walters, 58, Anthony Luogameno, 57, and Richard Kyles, 55, all of the City of Newburgh, and David Rotondo, 26, of Walden.
Also arrested during the operation was Taylor Bradford, 24, of the City of Newburgh, who was found to have an active Orange County probation warrant.
