SAUGERTIES – Police arrested a Saugerties teen after he was observed getting out of a car in Tina Chorvas Park in East Bridge Street in the Village of Saugerties with what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun.  It turns out the weapon was an airsoft handgun, which was a replica of a semi-automatic handgun.
Christopher Woolsey, 17, of Kings Highway was also seen crouching down
near a second vehicle. He told police officers he was messing around and
shooting the air gun at his sister’s car, the second vehicle.
During the interaction, officers also found him in possession of marijuana. He was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and issued an appearance ticket.
