CATSKILL – A 53-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday on felony
drug charges for allegedly selling heroin in the Greene County area.
State Police charged George Higgins with two felony counts each of criminal
sale and possession of a controlled substance.
Higgins’ arrest stems from a seven-month-long investigation into
the sale and use of heroin in the Greene County area by State Police,
the Greene County District Attorney’s Office and Greene County Sheriff’s
Office.
Higgins was arraigned in an indictment from Greene County Court and remanded
to the county jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or$50,000 bond.
