Boil water advisory issued for part of City of Newburgh

NEWBURGH – Due to a break in a 12-inch water main caused by a private contractor in the area of Liberty Street from Elmwood Place to Nicoll Street and Elmwood Place from Liberty to Powell Avenue in the City of Newburgh, a precautionary boil water notice has been issued.
City officials said they will continue to test the quality of the water and work with the Orange County Health Department to ensure the safety of the city’s water supply.
