NEWBURGH – A man and woman were arrested early Friday morning when
Newburgh City Police, with assistance from Town of New Windsor Police,
executed a search warrant at 213 North Miller Street in the city.
The action was the result of a several month-long investigation into narcotics
sales from that location.
As a result of the search, Willie Burks, Jr., 59, was charged with two
felonies of criminal possession of drugs and a misdemeanor for criminal
use of drug paraphernalia.
Police also charged Bernadette Henegain, 54, who was found to have an
active arrest warrant from Newburgh City Court.
