Man charged with shooting family dog to death

LIVINGSTON – State Police have arrested a Germantown man for allegedly
shooting a family dog repeated with a pellet gun, causing its death.

Police were called to the area of Church Avenue in the Town of Germantown
on Wednesday, September 6 where they found the American pit bull terrier
dead.

A necropsy conducted at the Round Top Animal Hospital in Germantown determined
the cause of death to be several pellet wounds from a pellet gun.

On September 7, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the Livingston
barracks arrested Michael Jennings, 23, and charged him with aggravated
cruelty to animals as a felony.
