SAUGERTIES – Police in Saugerties charged a Village of Saugerties man with aggravated harassment for allegedly sending repeated text messages to a former female friend and those messages were of a threatening nature. Police said in one message, Secundino Martinez, 40, tells the woman that he will throw her off a bridge.
Martinez was taken into custody, charged with a misdemeanor and released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.
The court also issued an order of protection on behalf of the victim.
