City street closed due to police task force activity

POUGHKEEPSIE – Cottage Street between North Clinton and North Hamilton Streets was closed to traffic Tuesday morning due to police activity.

Members of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Neighborhood Recovery Unit and ATF agents were observed entering a house on the north side of Cottage Street before 5 a.m. on May 21.

The road closure was still in place at 6:15 a.m.

Police declined to comment on the nature of the operation.
