MIDDLETOWN – The City of Middletown’s new skateboard park will be officially opened following a ribbon cutting ceremony this coming Friday.
The 3 p.m. event will take place at 1-31 Union Street behind City Hall.
The facility has been in discussion for years and came to fruition when the common council allocated funding and construction began several months ago.
The City of Newburgh is also planning to build a skateboard park at Delano-Hitch Recreation Area in the not-too-distant future.
