POUGHKEEPSIE – A 62-year-old
Poughkeepsie woman, who was riding a bicycle at 9:48 Thursday morning,
was injured when a hit-and-run driver struck her.
Poughkeepsie City Police said the incident, at the intersection of Church
and Jefferson streets, sent the woman to the hospital in serious but non-life
threatening injuries.
The vehicle that left the scene was only described as dark colored. It
went eastbound on Church Street immediately following the crash.
