TOWN OF SHAWANGUNK – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office has released the name of the woman killed in a motorcycle accident Sunday afternoon.
Clorisa Hopkins, 39, of Woodbourne was a passenger on a cycle operated by Kenneth Hopkins, 38, also of Woodbourne. She died at the scene. Kenneth Hopkins was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla with serious injuries.
The accident occurred at around 12:25 p.m. Sunday on Burlingham Road near Twin Oaks Lane when the bike ran off the roadway and into a ditch.
Police said the operator of a second motorcycle, Ben Hopkins, 56, of Woodbourne, suffered facial injuries and was treated at the scene.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages, authorities said.
