TOWN OF ULSTER – A Lake Katrine man was arrested by Town of Ulster Police following an investigation into suspicious activity at an apartment complex in the town. Ulster Police were called to the apartment complex for a man rummaging through residents’ mailboxes.
Before police arrived, they say Daniel Kelder, 29, had been involved in a dispute with one of the residents whose mailbox had been rummaged through. He allegedly damaged the resident’s mailbox and apartment window, then entered his apartment and subjected him to unwanted physical contact. The resident was not injured.
Kelder was charged with felony criminal mischief, misdemeanor criminal trespass and a violation of harassment. He was released to appear in town court at a later date.
Ulster Police were assisted at the scene of the July 27 incident by State Police.
