Police release identity of woman killed in Livingston car crash

LIVINGSTON – Police released the name of the woman who was ejected from a car when a three-car collision occurred at the intersection of State Court 9 and Columbia County Route 31 just before 7 a.m. on July 19.
Tammy Parker, 40, of Hudson was a passenger in a car traveling east on CR 31 that failed to stop at a stop sign and struck another car going north on Route 9. She was ejected from the car and died at the scene. Police said she was not wearing a seatbelt.
Daniel Rowe, 64, also of Hudson, was the other occupant in the car, when it overturned and struck a parked vehicle in a nearby gas station.
Denise Simmons, 53, of Hudson, who was driving the other car, and her passenger, Denise Burpo, 62, of Livingston, were both transported to Albany Medical Center.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
