Counties to receive over $26 million to upgrade, enhance public transportation

ALBANY – Hudson Valley counties will share more than $26.7 million in state funds to upgrade and enhance public transportation service.

Westchester will receive $11.27 million
Rockland County will receive $3.8 million
Orange County will receive $7.76 million
Ulster County will receive $1.56 million
Dutchess County will receive $1.53 million
Putnam County will receive $412,900
City of Kingston will receive $412,000

Rockland County Executive Edwin Day said his county will use its funds to buy buses, improve park and rides, and other transit-related projects.
